Audio CD Mastering Procedure
Our mastering process is definitely up there with the top audio cd mastering studios in the music industry. We use a Pro-Tools HD system utilizing high end A/D D/A converters. We run audio through our Manley Massive Passive EQ, Manley Mastering SLAM stereo limiter and Micpre. Then we bring the audio back into Pro-Tools using our high end A/D converters. Next, we edit the beginning and end of all songs so there will be no noise between your tracks on the final CD. We will create a perfect fade out as well. Finally we bounce the audio to disc so that we can create a master CD-ROM. We only use the highest quality CD-ROM media when creating your master CD.
Online Audio Mastering within 24-48 hours
We understand that you may have to meet a strict deadline and need your project fully mastered within a couple days. We are here to meet your deadline. All you have to do is send us your mixed down 16 or 24 bit stereo wav. songs between -3 and -6 db so we have enough headroom to work with. Very Important! Please don't compress or limit your mixes to make them louder. We use one of the most transparent and expensive mastering compressors in the world. We need your mixes to be low and clean with all the dynamics. If you compress or limit your mixes before mastering it will do more harm then good.
We will have them fully mastered within 24 hours to 48 hours from when we receive them. Since the stereo wav files are going to be too large to send through regular email, please use yousendit.com or sendspace.com and send your songs to help@audio-cd-mastering.com. Please zip them up into one folder so we can download your whole mastering project at once.
Must send one stereo wav file for each song mixed down between -3 and -6 to give us enough headroom for widening, tube EQ warmth and high quality mastering compression. Remember to zip up all your songs into one folder and call the folder your full name and email address to make it easier for us to download your entire project at once. We will do the same when sending the mastered songs back to your email address so that you can easily download and burn them onto an Audio CD. We do not accept MP3 or WMA formats of your songs unless that is all you have and they are not distorted. MP3 and WMA files are not a high quality format, they are 10 times less quality then a stereo wav or aiff file.
Preparing your CD for Audio Mastering by Mail
All you need to do is send us your stereo mixed down songs burned as DATA on a CD-ROM preferably 24bit 48,000 Hz in WAV/PC or AIFF format if your using a Mac. You can also just simply send us your Audio CD and we will convert it into the proper format for you. It is important that you do not have your mixes pegged to 0db. Keep the level down between -3 to -6 db so that you don’t run the risk of audio distortion. If you need cross fades or fade ins / fade outs we will do it free of charge. We have the fastest turn around time in the business. We will ship your mastering project back to you within 48 hours of when we receive it. Please allow 2 business days for shipping. Please include a United States Postal Money order payable to Ryan Clement with the exact amount shown in our price list. Also include the Title of your project and the song list in the correct order. we can include CD text so that the name of your songs will show up on the screen in most audio players. If you are sending a playable audio CD please have it in the correct order.

Our rates are unbelievable! You can send us your songs one at a time or the whole album at once. We will keep a log of your settings in order to keep track of all your mastering sessions. Your songs will always sound like they belong together! Mastering adds the proper punch, warmth and clarity to your sound. Your songs will be as high in volume level as all the radio ready songs that you hear on major label releases. All the songs on your demo or album will also be consistent with each other.

We do top level mastering for the lowest price in the industry. We charge $25 per song if you are an independent artist or record label; this includes a free master CD. Most audio mastering facilities with similar equipment and experience charge around $100-200 dollars a song. We only charge $100-200 a song when we master for major record labels.
